miracleHousing Version 6

Version 6 of miracleHousing is now available for you to install. The Introduction to our Issue Document follows.Click here for to access the full PDF Document (33 pages).

WELCOME TO RELEASE 6.1

The document lays out the main areas of change from the previous version, but only tells a brief tale of the new areas. Accompanying the document are separate write-ups on specific areas such as pre-/post- inspections, texting and e-mailing tenants.
It is envisaged that the software will initially be loaded into the Association’s test system where it will remain for approximately a week at which point it will be transferred to the live system. The test system will be unavailable for about ½ day whilst the release is installed and the live system will be down for about 1½ hours. The installation will be done remotely.
‘texting / e-mailing tenants’, ‘survey module’, ‘gas servicing’, '’survey’ and ‘pre-/post inspections’ are new modules which come free-of-charge in the first instance but, if used, will raise an extra charge to your annual software maintenance. If you are interested in any of these new modules then please call for a fuller discussion.
Apart from the new modules there have been significant advancements in areas such as:

• Mail Merges

There are now facilities to produce tenant statements, factoring invoices and works orders as mail merge documents.

(if you are interested in going down this route then please give Miracle a ring to discuss as working examples can be used as a base master document)

• The search dialog routine has been altered to allow for ‘literal’ searches to be performed i.e. the phonetic facility can now be made optional

• Action agendas

Many new fields have been added to the actions agenda layout facility. Examples of this are the maintenance of housing benefit information and service access details. For a full list of fields now available see the table below.

• JVI (joint visit indicators) have been radically overhauled

Whereas before the entry of a joint visit indicator merely meant holding a piece of text against the tenant’s records, the facility has now been expanded to include a colour coded warning that will be given when calling up a tenant’s record. It is also possible to hold more than one indicator against a tenant. E.g. it could be that a tenant is elderly and also of a nervous disposition. Both these conditions will be displayed in the enquiry centre with the more severe dictating the colour of the JVI button.

• Automatic payments

The automatic payment posting has been extended to include payments received from a source other than housing benefit or a direct source such as Allpay. This might be of particular interest to Associations who deal with Supporting People.
